Fees

  • Small claims mediation or arbitration is available for claims seeking $30,000.00 or less in total damages
  • It is limited to 5 hours of a neutrals time
  • The small-claims initiation fee is $300 per party, per neutral
  • Each neutrals fee is $750.00 per party
  • If needed, there is a conference room fee of $100 per room per day (no fee for a virtual mediation or arbitration session)

Terms & Conditions:

  • $200.00 per party, per neutral and for every postponements or rescheduling of a hearing within three (3) calendar days of a scheduled hearing
  • Contemporaneously with a Demand for Arbitration or a Request for Mediation, each party must pay its Initiation Fee;
  • A non-refundable deposit of $750.00 is required from each party, and this amount is to be applied to their final bill
  • The mediation will be governed by the Georgia Center for Arbitration & Mediation’s “General Arbitration Procedures” or “General mediation Procedures” as applicable.
  • In the event that the neutral needs to participate in any conference calls, preliminary matters, document review, research, written findings of fact/law, or if necessary, to prepare an informed award or evaluation, the neutral’s regular per hour, per party rate will apply
  • A final bill will be presented at the conclusion of the arbitration, and the Parties are expected to pay at that time.
  • Under no circumstances will any award or order be given until payment-in-full has been received
  • The Parties are responsible for any post-mediation work performed by the neutral net ten (10) days.
